The role:
The administrative assistant will be based at the Australian High Commission, New Delhi and will support the South Asia’s Corporate Services team.
The position requires a highly motivated individual with a minimum of five years’ experience in corporate service areas such as office management, property, or human resources, and should be familiar with accounting systems such as SAP.
Duties include
Handling property related issues including coordination with the property management team logging work orders on the property management’s website, residential property administration and maintenance coordination.Coordinating with the department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in New Delhi under the guidance of the post’s Corporate Service Advisor (CSA).Liaising with external vendors for residential property search, managing lease arrangements ensuring deadlines are met under the guidance of the Corporate Service Manager (CSM) or CSA.Undertake security-related activities such as radio checks, coordination of visitors’ entry to Austrade premises or residences at the Australian High Commission and arranging for COVID-19 tests for travelling Australia-based officers.Support the CSA with facilities and office support such as coordination of the disposal of assets and outdated inventory, ensuring MV maintenance and repairs are arranged in a timely manner as required, and general administration support at post including arranging catering and events.Provide support to the CSA during Ministerial visits and official events.Provide support to the Post Manager / Trade Commissioner / Senior Trade Commissioner and their families’ when they transition to and from Post under the guidance of the CSM/CSA.
