Team management and leadership
Manage a team of 30+ analysts and associates in an efficient manner
Lead and manage existing client relationships including governance calls, account management
Manage the hiring of the team. Be involved throughout the process right from CVs shortlisting, drafting case studies, and taking interviews.
Be responsible for team’s growth, learning and development. Identify training needs for the team and collaborate with subject matter experts in the company to conduct trainings.
Conduct regular performance assessments for the team to identify gaps, share feedback, and recommend promotions
Be involved and suggestive on team-wide and company-wide initiatives to bring in efficiencies including but not limited to automation, knowledge management, etc.
Work with the lead and senior analysts to ensure optimal output. This entails defining the scope of work in detail, estimating effort and resource requirements, developing project timelines and defining deliverables. Lead the efforts on discussions with the team to develop roadmaps for new projects.
Design, customize relevant processes, templates and tools such as maintaining work request logs, utilization trackers, status reports, delivery trackers, invoice trackers, issue trackers, attendance trackers, etc. for a smooth functioning of engagement
Work closely with the business development and solution team to create compelling solutions
Work closely with senior management to draft SGA’s “Go To Market” strategy and execute the strategic account plan that delivers on key business opportunities
Develop proofs of concept and propose solutions for the identified business problems
Develop proposals for prospective clients which includes proposed solutions, analytical design, project plan, staffing and pricing models
Negotiate contracts – legal and commercial terms on behalf of SG Analytics. Ensure pricing of projects are in line with margin targets of the company.
Work with the research leadership to identify new trends in business
Manage client relationships, identify requirements and cross-sell SG Analytics’ services across existing clients
Expertise across the following work products:
Pitch/ Management Presentation/ CIMs: Prepare marketing materials for clients including sections on market and industry landscapes, financial analysis & valuations, target company profiles & benchmarking etc. Produce client-ready output which is crisp and relevant and is accompanied with well-structured presentations.
Financial Modelling and Valuation: Manage detailed models and be comfortable with valuation techniques including relative valuation and DCF. Understand transaction structures and be able to determine applicability to the clients. Calculate and draw insights from a set of financial measures/ models.
Sector Coverage: Build deep expertise and insight on a specific sector that can be leveraged by bankers for maintaining and initiating new client relationships and generate high quality reports that highlight emerging trends and suggest possible courses of action. Cover sector(s) and track developments regularly.
Research: Process research requests effectively and efficiently, selecting and utilizing the most relevant internal and external information sources including company reports, the Internet, online databases, etc. Source and interpret company & industry information with an aim to form views on the industry, key trends and individual companies. Summarize and synthesize news updates/research reports on priority clients, weekly industry reports, for internal and external use.
Screen for targets/ buyers/ investors: Screen for potential buyers / targets and shortlist the relevant ones based on business model, financials, ownership, industry etc.
Databases: Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and use of databases such as CapitalIQ, Mergermarket, FactSet, Pitchbook, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.
CFA/CA/MBA from a premier institute
9-12 years of relevant experience
Minimum 5 years of team handling experience
