description : Videographer and Editor for Media Production working on a variety of large scale high-end video projects as well as provider profiles, operating room footage, lectures, studio records and other taping and editing needs. Strong filming capabilities to capture interviews and footage using primarily cinematic cameras and lenses and other necessary field equipment. Edits on a Mac using Final Cut Pro. Will also serve as a grip or second camera operator, drone safety spotter, studio support, and other production roles as needed.

Responsibilities:
Captures high-end footage and interviews for our various project needs using primarily cinematic cameras and lenses as well as other production equipment including but not limited to sliders, go pros, eye direct, field monitors and prompter.
Works collaboratively with Project Manager, and producer on shoot planning and equipment list to allow for proper budget and best product.
Serves also as second camera operator, grip, or drone safety spotter.
At times will film in an active operating room, following proper safety protocols at all times.
Responsible for ingesting footage through our Mac edit system interfacing with the Quantum server and CatDV
Serves as an editor for our department with strong video editing capabilities. Will edit on a mac using Final Cut Pro.
Works collaboratively with producer and/or Project Manager on all aspects of video editing needs.
Films and/or edits for provider profiles, lectures, digital storytelling projects and other project needs as assigned by Project Manager or Senior Director/Creative Director.
Tracks all projects hours and shares weekly with Billing Coordinator and Project Manager.
Works with Senior Editor to assist with prepping projects for archiving.
Assists Studio Engineer with control room and studio coverage as needed.
Education:
Associates Degree in Communications, Media, Film or other related field.
Relevant experience or skill sets may offset education requirement.

Complexity of Work:
Ability to film high quality footage and interviews using primarily cinematic cameras and lenses, using appropriate lighting setups and other field and broadcast equipment.
Ability to ingest and edit videos on Final Cut Pro interfacing with other programs and technology as needed.
Ability to assist with archiving, color correction and other final file making needs.
Ability to work and support tapings in a studio and control room.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills, calm and pleasant demeanor, a collaborative and helpful approach to assignments and the ability to problem solve quickly under pressure are all required.
Work Experience:
A minimum of two years filming experience using primarily cinematic cameras and lenses, and other field lighting and audio recording equipment to capture a high quality product.
1 year video editing experience.
Mac Final Cut Pro, color correction and file-making experience a preferred.
Studio and control room experience production experience preferred.
Photoshop, after effects, Motion, CatDV, and Frame IO experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
Ability to move material and tools throughout the hospital system
In some locations, ability to move up to 50 lbs.
