To support the implementation of Service Virtualization (SV) technologies across Barclays, with specific focus on Digital Engineering. To design and develop virtual services as part of SV as a service in order to remove downstream and external dependencies from application development and testing processes, reducing cycle time and improving software quality. To contribute to, and drive use of, a Community of Practice (CoP) focussing on industrialising the capability and driving adoption across the enterprise enabling teams to integrate SV into their SDLC process.
What will you be doing?
Contribute to the implementation strategy for SV and to embed as Business as Usual
Capture and report on the KPI’s that will demonstrate the benefits delivery against the baseline
To assist with the delivery of the capability uplift required to embed the technology across multiple platforms
To champion the adoption of SV with the wider DevOps strategic plan
What we’re looking for:
Previous experinece with deploying Service Virtualization solutions in an enterprise environment, with one of the following tools; e.g. CA LISA Service Virtualization, IBM Rational Virtualization Server, HP Service Virtualization, ParaSoft
Previous experience of successful SV implementation in a financial institution
Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skill.
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience of implementing a Community of Practice or Centre of Excellence, ideally in a Dev/Test environment
Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to complex problems.
Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
