Join us as an integral member of the APAC surveillance team to conduct suitability surveillance on private banking clients’ portfolios. You are responsible for the accurate and timely review of suitability surveillance alerts with documentary evidence; prompt escalation of potential red flags for further investigation as well as conducting ad-hoc reviews in addition to the surveillance work. You keep abreast of the Risk and Control Framework, APAC Investment Suitability Framework, front office procedures, regulatory requirements relating to suitability as well as global initiatives. You will be a key team-player driving the quality assurance program within Pune surveillance. This role enables you to demonstrate your sense of ownership, accountability as well as time-management.

Through active participation in regular team meetings to share lessons learned and best-practices, you will work closely with your colleagues and team-lead to learn from their experience and deliver tasks in line with partners’ expectations. To deliver the best outcome for your team, you proactively collaborate with your team-lead and team members to manage the alerts volume and enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the existing surveillance methodology. When you are up to speed on your existing workload and responsibilities, you will be given additional opportunities to liaise and work with the broader surveillance team, key stakeholders and relevant business partners to implement suitability surveillance enhancements, controls automation and other related projects.

Your skills and experience
We are looking for a team-player with the following skills and abilities:
Graduate degree is essential, preferably with specialization in banking or finance
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience preferably in compliance, surveillance, monitoring, risk or audit roles within the financial industry
Good understanding of asset classes and products traded in the private banking industry
Outstanding written and verbal communication coupled with good analytical skills
Well-organized, proactive and detail oriented team-player who possess a strong sense of ownership and accountability to follow through on escalations, issues or new initiatives
